About ARAPL
ARAPL RaaS is a company specialising in warehouse automation, with offices in Cary, North Carolina, United States, and Pune, India. It develops user-friendly digital tools for inventory management, parcel tracking, and real-time monitoring of warehouse robots.
Confidential
Some visuals in this case study are under NDA or confidential and cannot be shared publicly. This version is shared privately for review, with the expectation of limited and respectful use.
Problem
ARAPL RaaS, or Affordable Robotic & Automation Ltd. Robotics-as-a-Service, specializes in warehouse automation through user-friendly digital tools. This project showcases an MVP inventory management app for Mexican migrant workers, featuring intuitive tracking, real-time parcel updates, and live warehouse robot location monitoring.
The MVP needed to be designed, developed, and delivered within one month. The project began with an unclear scope and evolving client requirements.
The challenge was to create a modern, engaging tablet/iOS interface that was simple enough for users with limited digital experience, while ensuring the
real-time robot tracking feature, a core selling point, was fully functional.

Challenge
Deliver an MVP in one month with no clear scope, no design system, low-digital-literacy users, and a tablet-first interface; all while building real-time robot tracking from scratch.

Scope of work
ARAPL RaaS demanded Lean and Agile UX with no clear goals, no guidelines, no design system, and just one month to deliver. The MVP kept evolving, requiring rapid iterations and constant alignment with the client.

Project objective
The goal was to design a dynamic, interactive tablet/ i-Pad application that strengthens ARAPL’s robotics-as-a-service brand, appeals to global warehouse automation clients, and meets diverse operational needs.

Solution
We moved through every stage from wireframing to rapid prototyping, refining solutions step by step until the design evolved into the current product.
The final interface delivers clear task overviews, real-time warehouse stats, and error insights, all optimised for tablet use in demanding warehouse environments.

Final product
Sit back and explore the meticulously crafted ARAPL screens that impressed clients and stakeholders alike, driving an 80% boost in efficiency.

Key takeaway
This project was both a test of patience and a mountain of learning, from understanding client needs and pain points to solving complex problems, collaborating closely with developers, and delivering the product within a tight budget.
